DUBUQUE, Iowa – Senior Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) took first in her weight class as the UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team competed at the Loras College Open on Saturday.

Winecke went 3-0 in the 103 bracket. She got two wins by 10-0 tech fall and another win by fall.
 
Amerrah Kayon (Kenosha, Wis./Shoreland) placed second in the 160 bracket. She got three wins, all by tech fall. Katelyn Nosbisch took fourth in the bracket with three wins by fall. Sophia Paulson (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) got a decision win in the bracket.
 
Hollis Nelson (Milwaukee, Wis./Whitefish Bay) was third in the 117 bracket. She got three wins on the day, one each by fall, tech fall and decision. Nadia Fuentes (Janesville, Wis./Craig) was sixth in the bracket with one win by fall.
 
Elsie Triplett (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) finished fourth in the 131 bracket. She won three bouts, two by fall and one by tech fall.
 
Margaret Zuber took fifth in the 138 bracket. She won twice by tech fall and once by fall.
 
Lana Zimmerman (Cortland, Ill./Dekalb) got a win by forfeit in the 145 bracket.
 
The Pointers travel to Illinois for the Augustana DIII Tournament beginning on Saturday (Feb. 7) at 12:00 p.m.
