STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team defeated Northern Michigan by a 32-14 final on Friday in UWSP's home finale.

Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) and Briana Martinez (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) got wins by forfeit to give the Pointers a 10-0 lead out of the gate.
 
Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central) needed just 1:19 to win by tech fall to push the lead to 14-0. Cera Philson (Thorp, Wis./Thorp) also got a tech fall win and Cadie Percy (Windsor, Colo./Windsor) won a 7-2 decision.
 
Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) got a win by forfeit at 145 for a 26-6 lead. Amerrah Kayon (Kenosha, Wis./Shoreland) got a team point at 160.
 
Kate Riege (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead Union) closed out the dual with a win by fall at 207.
 
The Pointers are back in action on Saturday (Jan. 31) at the Loras Open beginning at 9:00 a.m.
