STEVENS POINT, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted day one of the Point Invite Friday, where the men and women are in third with scores of 416 and 295, respectively.

The men notched five top three finishes on day one from
Scott Jenn (Madison, Wis./Memorial),
Declan Trant (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South),
Wyatt Gross (Geneva, Ill./Geneva Community), the 200-yard freestyle relay team and the 800-yard freestyle relay team.
Jenn tied for first in the 100-yard backstroke with a flat time of 54 seconds. Trant finished atop of the three-meter dive with a score of 472.60. Gross swam to a second-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:12.97.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest),
Shawn Denis (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander),
Jakson Wagner (DeForest, Wis./DeForest Area) and
Matthew Loy (Mazomanie, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) took second place with time of 1:27.43. The 800-yard freestyle relay team of Jenn,
Mason Releford (Vacaville, Cal./Vacaville Christian),
Sam Ortiz (Geneva, Ill./Community) and
Grant Bergman (Waukesha, Wis./South)n finished third with a time of 7:27.62.
The women earned three top five finishes from the 200-, 800-yard freestyle relay team and the 400-yard medley relay team.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Anna Scheglowski (Northfield, Minn./Northfield),
Hollyn Ambre (Batavia, Ill./Batavia),
Maddy Magle (Sheboygan, Wis./Kohler) and
Bailey Vincer (Byron, Ill./Byron) took fifth with a time of 1:43.19. The 800-yard freestyle relay team of
Chloe Nilles (Wausau, Wis./East),
Meghan Spence (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan Falls), Magle and Ambre finished fifth with a time of 8:38.02.
The 400-yard medley relay team of
Margaret Henkemeyer-Howe (Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead),
Lilly Featherstone (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community),
Alliyah Lima (Appleton, Wis./Neenah) and
Olivia Seward (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) won with a time of 3:56.11.
The Pointers are back in the pool tomorrow (Jan. 24) for day two of the Point Invite. Preliminaries begin at 10:00 a.m. with finals beginning at 4:00 p.m.
