OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team nearly pitched a shutout in a 47-1 win at UW-Oshkosh on Thursday.

The Pointers got wins by fall from Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo), Briana Martinez (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul), Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) and Kate Riege (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead Union). Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central), Cera Philson (Thorp, Wis./Thorp) and Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) all were victorious by tech fall. Elsie Triplett (Annandale, Minn./Annandale), Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) and Amerrah Kayon (Kenosha, Wis./Shoreland) got wins by forfeit.
 
UWSP will be back in action with a home dual against Northern Michigan on Jan. 30. The dual begins at 7:00 p.m. in Berg Gym.
