MARQUETTE, Mich.—
Declan Trant (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South) set the school record in the one-meter dive on Saturday afternoon in the swimming and diving teams' dual against Northern Michigan. The men finished the dual with a score of 127 to NMU's 133 and the women with a score of 75 to NMU's 185.
Results
Trant broke the previous school one-meter dive, six dives, record and won with a score of 355.05. He also won the three-meter dive with a score of 304.65.
Along with Trant, the men notched first-place finishes from
Cole Brodin (Rochester, Minn./Century) and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Gavin Schick (Greenfield, Wis./Greenfield),
Jakson Wagner (DeForest, Wis./DeForest Area),
Matthew Loy (Mazomanie, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) and
David Anderson (Madison, Wis./West).
Brodin took the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:10.78. The 200-yard freestyle relay team stopped the clock at 1:32.86.
The women recorded numerous second place finishes from
Maddy Magle (Sheboygan, Wis./Kohler),
Chloe Nilles (Wausau, Wis./East),
Lizzy Featherstone (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community),
Ivy Stevens (Cambridge, Wis./Cambridge),

Magle took second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:06.47. Nilles placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.22. Featherstone finished second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:33.98.
Stevens took second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:28.97. Spence placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:41.19. Osowski finished second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:46.16.
Henkemeyer-Howe notched a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle. Spaeth earned a second-place finish in the three-meter dive with a score of 189.38. The 200-yard freestyle relay finished with a time of 1:45.04.
The men's and women's swimming and diving teams are back in action on Friday (Jan. 23) to host day one of the Point Invite. The first session begins at 9:30 a.m. and the second at 6:00 p.m.
