ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team (3-0-0) remained undefeated with a 2-1 win at Augustana (0-1-2) on Saturday.
 
Jaxon Buckley (Kingsford, Mich./Kingsford) scored his first collegiate goal in the 24th minute with Marcelo Chavez (Verona, Wis./Verona Area) assisting on the goal.
 
Almost exactly two minutes later, Connor Urban (Waukesha, Wis./West) tallied an unassisted goal to give the Pointers a 2-0 lead.
 
In the 71st minute, the Augies broke the Pointers' season-opening shutout streak at just over 250 minutes.
 
UWSP goalkeeper Jacob Havlik (Onalaska, WIs./Onalaska) picked up his third win of the season, making two saves.
 
The Pointers travel to St. Norbert on Tuesday (Sept. 9) for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference match.
