JANESVILLE, Wis. – Connor Schaefer (Greenville, Wis./Hortonville) recorded three birdies and shot an even par 72 to sit in 19th as the UW-Stevens Point men's golf team completed round one of the Minnesota Classic.

Top UWSP Individual:  Schaefer made three birdie to shoot a 72 (E) and is tied for sixth among Division III golfers in the field.
Notables: Jake Zwiers (Little Chute, Wis./Little Chute) had two birdies and is just two shots behind Schaefer. Nathan Beutel (Union Grove, Wis./Union Grove) had an eagle on the first hole.

Top Team: Host Bethel leads Saint John's by four strokes.
Top Individual: August Petersson, an independent from DI South Carolina, holds a three-stroke lead.
