DE PERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team (4-0-0) continued its undefeated start to the season with a 2-0 win at St. Norbert (1-4-0) on Tuesday night.
Vincent Bianco (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton) put UWSP in front in the 35th minute with his second of the year, both of which have been game-winners.
Jaxon Buckley (Kingsford, Mich./Kingsford) provided an assist, his second-straight game with a point.
In the 56th minute,
Devin Wilkerson (La Crosse, Wis./Central) scored his second goal of the season to put the Pointers in front, 2-0.
Jet Oehrlein (Warrenville, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South) recorded his first collegiate point with an assist on the goal.
Jacob Havlik (Onalaska, WIs./Onalaska) posted his third shutout of the year with just one save needed in Tuesday's win.
The Green Knights almost spoiled Havlik's clean sheet in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the post.
The Pointers hit the road again on Thursday (Sept. 11) for a 2:00 p.m. match at Concordia University Chicago.
