RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Sophomore goalkeeper
Shea Lucas (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) recorded her first career shutout as the UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (1-1-0) earned a 2-0 win at Concordia University Chicago (0-2-0) on Sunday.
Lucas made three saves in the match to earn her first career win and first career shutout.
Fellow sophomore
Paige Ostroushko (Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's) netted the game-winning goal in the 54th minute, an unassisted tally.
Emily Miner (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield East) scored her first career goal to extend the lead to 2-0 in the 74th minute.
The Pointers outshot CUC, 21-4, and fired 11 of those shots on target.
UWSP plays at St. Norbert on Wednesday (Sept. 3) at 7:00 p.m.
