MENOMONIE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team closed out the 2024-25 season with a sixth-place finish at the UW-Stout Spring Invitational on Sunday.

Top UWSP Individual: Kate Downie (Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville) posted a round of 83 to place 13th.
Notables: Chloe Brown (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) was three strokes back of Downie and placed 26th. Delaney Giesen (Mankato, Minn./West) and Marlayna Gonnering (Winneconne, Wis./Winneconne) posted sub-90 rounds.
 
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: Host UW-Stout and UW-Whitewater tied for first at +32.
Top Individual: UW-Whitewater's Ellie Johnson won the event with a +3, two strokes better than teammate Payton Schmidt.
