STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's tennis team dispatched of visiting Edgewood with relative ease in a 6-1 win in the home finale.
 
The Pointers won the team doubles point with a 6-1 win at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
 
Steven Benoy (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles in his final home match. Frederick Diehl (Minneapolis, Minn./Academy of Holy Angles) also won his final home match, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 2 singles.
 
Luca Hettstedt (Marbella, Spain/German School Marbella) got a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles. Josh Zaborski (Cudahy, Wis./Cudahy) took his No. 5 singles match, 6-0, 6-4. Anthony Eiden (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) won at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-2.
 
Dominik Hendrickson (Menomonie, Wis./Menomonie) battled to a super-breaker at No. 4 singles, coming up short, 6-2, 5-7, 6-7 (7).
 
The Pointers finish 10-13, reaching the 10-win plateau for the first time since the program was reinstated in 2022.
