Jade Herzer (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) is the lone Pointer advancing to the second day of action.
Results
Herzer earned three wins in the 180 bracket. Two wins were by fall and another by tech fall, all in the consolation bracket.
Tabitha Breitrick (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) got two wins by fall in the consolation bracket and dropped a narrow 2-1 decision in her final match.
Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) was the only Pointer to win her first match of the day winning an 8-2 decision in the 160 bracket. After moving to the consolation bracket, Kuge got a 10-0 tech fall win.
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) at 103 and
Rose Ann Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) at 117 both got a 10-0 tech fall victory in their respective consolation brackets.
Alaina Sunlin (Monticello, Iowa/Monticello) won a 15-12 decision in the consolation bracket at 110.
Cadie Percy (Windsor, Colo./Windsor) won a 7-6 decision in the 145 consolation bracket.
Cera Philson (Thorp, Wis./Thorp) went 0-2 in the 131 bracket.
Herzer returns to the mat at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday (Mar. 8) to begin day two at the NCWWC Championships.
