The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team defeated Northwestern by a 6-1 final before finishing action on Saturday with a 5-2 win over Macalester.
Against UNW, the Pointers got the doubles team point as No. 1 and No. 3 doubles prevailed.
In singles play,
Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central),
Brooklynn Steier (West De Pere, Wis./West De Pere) and
Morgan Milan (Greenfield, Wis./Whitnall) all won super-breakers. All three rallied from a first set loss to win the super-breaker.
Jordan Scharf (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) and
Allie Brosteau (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port) won in straight sets.
At Macalester, UWSP again won the doubles team point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Scharf, Brosteau, Milan and
Maya Kunze (Stevens Point, Wis./Pacelli) all won in straight sets in singles play.
The Pointers return to action against St. Norbert on Feb. 16 at 11:00 a.m. in Green Bay.
