ROGERS, Minn. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team opened the spring season with a 7-0 loss to Bethel on Friday.
 
The Pointers lost the doubles point as No. 2 doubles pair Maya Kunze (Stevens Point, Wis./Pacelli) and Abigail Ashley (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) won the only two games.
 
In singles action, Jordan Scharf (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) won a game in each set at No. 2 singles. Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central), Allie Brosteau (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port) and Kunze each won one game.

The Pointers remain in Minnesota to take on Northwestern and Macalester at 12:30 and 7:00 p.m., respectively.
