SUPERIOR, Wis. – Senior
Fletcher Anderson (Thunder Bay, Ont.) had two goals and an assist as the No. 10 UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team (18-5-1, 10-3-1) pulled into a first-place tie with a 3-1 win over No. 11 UW-Superior (18-4-2, 11-2-1). The teams will play a winner-take-all season finale tomorrow night for the regular season title.
Anderson scored his first of the night at 9:20 of the first period to put the Pointers up 1-0.
Hunter O'Brien (Cambridge, Ont.) had the only assist on the goal.
Anderson made it 2-0 with his second of the night at 18:47 of the first.
Nico Chmelevski (Northville, Mich.) and
Joshua German (Waterford, Mich.) had assists as the Pointers lead by two after one.

Andrew Poulias (Whitby, Ont.) scored a power-play goal to make it 3-0. Anderson and Chmelevski had assists on the man-advantage goal.
The Yellowjackets spoiled the shutout bid at 9:42 of the third with a power-play goal to complete the scoring.
UWSP goaltender
Alex Proctor (Allen, Texas) made 21 saves, seven in each period. UWS goaltenders Kobe Grant and Jack Boschert combined for 23 saves.
UWSP and UWS closed out the regular season on Saturday (Feb. 15) with a 7:00 p.m. game in Superior. The winner will claim the regular season title and be the one-seed in the WIAC Tournament.
