NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team placed 21st out of 36 teams at the NCC Invite on Sunday.
Results
Lana Zimmerman (Cortland, Ill./Dekalb) finished fifth in the 145B bracket. She earned three wins, two by fall and once by tech fall.
Briana Martinez (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) took fifth in the 110B bracket. She earned a win by fall in the fifth-place match.
Hollis Nelson (Milwaukee, Wis./Whitefish Bay) was sixth in the 117B bracket. She got a win by fall and another by decision.
Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) had three wins in the 124A bracket. She had one win each by fall, tech and decision.
Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) won twice by fall in the 145A bracket.
Sophia Paulson (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) got two wins in the 160B bracket, one each by fall and tech fall.
Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) got two wins, both by decision, in the 180A bracket.
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) got one win by fall in the 103A bracket. Katelyn Nosbisch won a bout by fall in the 160B bracket.
Riley Ensing (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest) won a 9-0 decision in the 145B bracket.
Cadie Percy (Windsor, Colo./Windsor) got a win by injury default in the 138A bracket.
The Pointers head back to Illinois for Midlands on Dec. 30 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
