Five Pointers Earn Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind.—Five members of the UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team, Jacob Havlik (Onalaska, WIs./Onalaska), Cameron Jochimsen (Freedom, Wis./Freedom), Noah Johnson (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji), Carter Smith (Milton, Wis./Milton) and Devin Wilkerson (La Crosse, Wis./Central) were recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, the organization announced Tuesday (Nov. 25).

Havlik earned his first academic all-district selection. He started and played in 19 matches this season. Havlik played in 1635 minutes this season, only allowing 21 goals while recording 51 saves with a .708 save percentage with four shutouts. He ended the season ranked fourth in the conference in GAA, shutouts and saves with 1.16, four and 51, respectively. Havlik earned WIAC Kwik Trip Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 23-29, 2024, and this season was named to the All-WIAC Honorable Mention Team.
 
Jochimsen received his second-straight academic all-district honor. He started and played in 19 matches this season. Jochimsen recorded five assists on the season. He ended the season ranked 12th in the conference for assists. This season, Jochimsen was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
 
Johnson earned his first academic all-district selection. He played in 21 matches while starting in 11. Johnson recorded seven goals this season. Johnson ended the season in the top-three on the team in SOG, points and goals with 14, 14 and seven, respectively.
 
Smith received his first academic all-district honor. He started and played in 19 matches this season. Smith recorded six assists on the season. He finished the season ranked sixth in the conference in assists.
 
Wilkerson earned his first academic all-district selection. He played in 20 matches this season while starting in 13. Wilkerson recorded five goals and one assist on the season. He ended the season ranked 11th in the conference in game-winning goals with two, 13th in the conference in goals and 14th in the conference in shots with 30. Last season, Wilkerson earned WIAC Kwik Trip Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 16-22 and named to the All-WIAC First Team.
 
The Pointers ended the season at the WIAC Championships Final (Nov. 8) with a 13-4-4 record. Along with Havlik and Jochimsen, Jaxon Buckley (Kingsford, Mich./Kingsford), Charlie McGinnis (Verona, Wis./Verona Area) and Connor Urban (Waukesha, Wis./West) received all-conference honors this season.
