EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team had 21 athletes competing at the UWEC 8-Woman Battles held on Saturday.

Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) took second at 124. She earned three wins, two by tech fall and one by fall. Elsie Triplett (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) was third with two wins by fall and one by tech fall. Brianna Derouin (Menasha, Wis./Menasha) got sixth with a 10-9 decision win and a win by fall. Nadia Fuentes (Janesville, Wis./Craig) won once by fall.
 
Margaret Zuber finished second at 138. She had two wins by tech fall and another by fall. Lexi Karls (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail) got three wins, two by fall and one by decision, to take ninth. Micahlee Skjerly (Barron, Wis./Barron) got two wins by fall.
 
Sophia Paulson (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) placed second at 160b. She got three wins, all by fall. Katelyn Nosbisch was third with three wins as well, all by fall.
 
Amerrah Kayon (Kenosha, Wis./Shoreland) took third at 160. She won three times, twice by fall and once by decision.
 
At 131, Anna Delaney (Hugo, Minn./Cooper) was fourth. She got two wins by tech fall and one by fall. Olivia Ramirez (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) got ninth with a win by fall. Shaina Hyre (Lawrenceville, Ill./Lawrenceville) had two wins, one each by fall and tech fall.
 
Kaylei Sanford (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) got two wins, one by decision, to place seventh at 145.
 
Madi Zube (Viroqua, Wis./Viroqua) won three times to place ninth at 180. She got a win each by fall and tech fall. Teagan McKinnie (Buckeye, Ariz./Verrado) had two wins, one each by fall and decision. Maddie Hall (Holmen, Wis./Holmen) got one win by tech fall.
 
The Pointers are back in action on Dec. 7 at the Carthage Classic beginning at 9:00 a.m.
