WAVERLY, Iowa – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team dropped its first dual of the year, 35-11, at No. 24 Wartburg on Friday.
 
Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) got the first win by the Pointers at 124. She earned a 12-2 tech fall win.
 
Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) won by injury default at 180.
 
Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central) and Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) each earned a point for the team at 117 and 145, respectively.
 
The Pointers are back in action on Saturday (Nov. 22) at the UWEC 8-Woman Battles beginning at 11:00 a.m.
