DECORAH, Iowa – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team had podium finishers in seven of the brackets at the Luther Open on Saturday.

Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) and Madalyn Sokolski (Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel) tied for first in the 180 bracket. Sokolski went 3-0 with three wins by fall. Kuge also went 3-0 with one win each by fall, tech fall and decision.
 
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) took third in the 110 bracket. She got four wins on the day, three by tech fall and one by fall. Savanna Millermon (Wilson, Wis./Glenwood City) and Briana Martinez (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) each got one win in the bracket, by decision and fall, respectively.
 
Rosemary Triggs (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay) finished fourth in the 124 bracket with a win by decision. Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) was fifth in the bracket with four wins, three by fall. Elsie Triplett (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) took eighth with a win by fall. Addison Gratz-Maag (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) had two wins and Nadia Fuentes (Janesville, Wis./Craig) got a win by fall in the bracket.
 
Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central) placed fourth in the 117 bracket. She had one win by fall and one by tech fall.
 
Amerrah Kayon (Kenosha, Wis./Shoreland) earned a fourth-place finish in the 160 bracket. She had six wins, five by fall and one by tech fall. Julia Van Buren (Madison, Wis./West) had two wins by fall in the bracket. Taylor Schulz (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) and Sophia Paulson (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) each had a win by fall.
 
Cera Philson (Thorp, Wis./Thorp) was sixth in the 131 bracket. She had two wins by tech fall and one by fall.
 
Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) took sixth in the 145 bracket. She had four wins on the day, two each by fall and tech fall. Kaylei Sanford (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) got two wins in the bracket, one each by tech fall and decision.
 
Margaret Zuber got two wins in the 138 bracket. She had one win by fall and one by decision.
 
The Pointers head back to Iowa for a dual against Wartburg on Friday (Nov. 21) at 6:00 p.m.
