STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team won one bracket and had a finalist in three others at Saturday's Pointer Open.

Madalyn Sokolski (Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel) won the purple 180 bracket. She went 4-0 on the day with all four wins by fall. Teagan McKinnie (Buckeye, Ariz./Verrado) got three wins by fall to take sixth in the bracket. Maddie Hall (Holmen, Wis./Holmen) got one win by fall in the bracket.
 
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) took second in the gold 110 bracket. She earned a 10-0 tech fall win to start the day. She moved on to the final with a win by fall.
 
Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) placed second in the gold 180 bracket. She got a 10-0 tech fall win and a 10-2 decision win.
 
Amerrah Kayon (Kenosha, Wis./Shoreland) finished second in the purple 160 bracket. She got three wins, two by fall and one by decision. Julia Van Buren (Madison, Wis./West) and Katie Nosbisch each got a win in the bracket. Nosbisch got a win by fall and Van Buren earned a 6-5 decision win.
 
Rosemary Triggs (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay) was fourth in the purple 124 bracket. She got three wins on the day, all by fall. Nadia Fuentes (Janesville, Wis./Craig) and Elsie Triplett (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) each got a win by fall in the bracket.
 
Anna Delaney (Hugo, Minn./Cooper) took fifth in the purple 131 bracket. She got three wins by fall in the bracket. Maggie Zuber (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley) also took fifth place in the purple 138 bracket with three wins, one each by fall, tech fall and decision.
 
In the gold 124 bracket, Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central) placed sixth with a win by fall and a tech fall victory. Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) won a bout by fall in the bracket.
 
Briana Martinez (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) came in sixth in the purple 110 bracket. She got two wins by fall on the day.
 
Cadie Percy (Windsor, Colo./Windsor) won twice in the gold 138 bracket. She got a 10-6 decision win and a win by fall. Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) won once, by tech fall, in the gold 145 bracket.
 
Kaylei Sanford (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) and Lana Zimmerman (Cortland, Wis./Dekalb) each got a win in the purple 145 bracket. Zimmerman won by fall and Sanford by tech fall.
 
UWSP travels to Plymouth for the Lakeland Tri on Nov. 9 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
