OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (5-4-5, 0-1-1) earned a point in league play with a 0-0 tie at UW-Oshkosh (4-3-4, 0-1-1) on Wednesday night.
The Titans nearly broke the tie in the 12th minute hitting the left post instead.
Christa Borchardt (New Berlin, Wis./West),
Kaitlan Jones (Plymouth, Minn./Heritage Christian Acad.) and
Cass Klitzke (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) each had a shot in the first half, all three off target.
Kayce Wadas (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) had two shots and
Emily Miner (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield East) had one in the second half, but neither team could find the back of the net.
Freshman goalkeeper
Ainsley Katte (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) made six saves to keep her second clean sheet in the last three matches.
The Pointers will travel to Whitewater on Saturday (Oct. 11) for a conference match against the Warhawks at 2:00 p.m.
