STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Freshman
Chloe Regal (Stewartville, Minn./Stewartville) remained unbeaten in dual action as the UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team fell to UW-La Crosse by a 6-1 final on Saturday.
Regal got her seventh win of the season at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win on Saturday. She also remained undefeated in doubles play as she paired with
Annie Wierzbicki (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) for a 7-5 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Brooklynn Steier (West De Pere, Wis./West De Pere) forced a super-breaker at No. 5 singles. She rebounded from a 6-2 first-set loss to win the second set, 7-6 (4). Then in the super-breaker, she came up short, 10-5.
Ellie Aitken (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) and
Allie Brosteau (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port) both won four games at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
The Pointers continue league play with an 11:00 a.m. match at UW-Oshkosh on Saturday (Oct. 11).
