STEVENS POINT, Wis. – For the second time in a week, the UW-Stevens Point volleyball team (11-8) pulled off a reverse sweep doing so on Saturday against No. 20 Gustavus Adolphus (16-4) to wrap up action at the Papa John's Invite.
Lauren Shaw (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) led UWSP with 16 kills and recorded her first double-double of the season with 14 digs.

Carly Thomka (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) racked up five blocks for the third time on the weekend.
Olivia Paukner (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) added a season-high 11 kills.
Hannah Strege (Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee) led all players with 44 assists, her third highest match of the season.
Abby Nevins (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) and
Tessa Erlandson (Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon Wanamingo) were both in double figures with 22 and 15 digs.
Shaw had three kills in the first set as GAC led most of the way for a 25-13 win.
Shaw, Paukner and
Logan Cregan (Little Canada, Minn./Roseville Area) had two kills each as the Pointers took an 11-6 lead in the second. Thomka had a kill and a block as the lead grew to 18-11. But the Gusties closed the set with a 14-4 run to take the second set, 25-22.
Shaw recorded a kill to halt a 5-0 start to the third by GAC.
Katie Larson (Hammond, Wis./St. Croix Central) had three kills and a block as UWSP tied the set at 9-9. Cregan had two kills and an ace last as the Pointers took the third set, 25-23.
Paukner, Shaw and Thomka combined for six-straight kills as UWSP took an 11-8 advantage in the fourth. Paukner bookended a 6-0 run with kills and an 18-14 lead. Cregan again had an ace late as UWSP forced a fifth set with a 5-20 win.
Shaw and Larson had two kills apiece as the Pointers went in front, 6-5. Strege had two kills and Erlandson served an ace in a 7-0 run by UWSP. Shaw ended the match with a kill for a 15-9 fifth-set win.
The Pointers hit the road to face Hardin-Simmons and Lawrence on Saturday (Oct. 11) at 10:30 and 12:30 at the UW-Whitewater Tournament.
