SAINT PETER, MINN.— The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's swimming and diving teams open the 2025-26 season at the Gustavus/Minnesota Mankato State Triangular.
 
Results
 
The men were led by first-place finishes from Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest), Shawn Denis (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander) and Declan Trant (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South).
 
Barwick won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.34
 
Denis won the 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard butterfly with times of 59.55 and 53.29, respectively.
 
Trant won both the one- and three-meter dives with scores of 328.90 and 577.35, respectively.
 
The women were led by Hollyn Ambre (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) and the 400-yard freestyle relay of Anna Scheglowski (Northfield, Minn./Northfield), Katie Shaw (Madison, Wis./West), Olivia Seward (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) and Ambre.
 
Ambre finished fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:32.85.
 
Scheglowski, Shaw, Seward and Ambre finished fourth with a time of 3:49.32.
 
The UWSP swimming and diving teams are back in action on Friday (Oct. 31) against UW-Green Bay for the home opener/pink meet at 5:00 p.m.
