STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (5-4-7, 0-1-3) played to a 0-0 tie against UW-River Falls (9-4-2, 1-2-1) on Saturday. It was the third-straight tie for the Pointers and the sixth shutout this season.
UWSP goalkeeper
Ainsley Katte (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) made four saves in the first half keeping the tilt scoreless at the break.
Katte had three more saves in the second half, including her seventh of the match in the final minute of play.
The Pointers nearly solved UWRF goalkeeper Courtney Bain late int eh second half.
Christa Borchardt (New Berlin, Wis./West) hit the post in the 87th minute.
Piper Hanley (Farmington, Minn./Farmington) also hit the post in the 89th minute, but neither went into the net.
UWSP travels to UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday (Oct. 22) for a 7:30 p.m. matchup with the Blugolds.
