EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (8-10-1, 2-3-1) was shut out, 6-0, in league play at No. 12 UW-Eau Claire (12-6-0, 5-1-0).

Emily Griege (Chesterfield, Mo./Westminster Christian Academy) held the Blugolds off the scoreboard until the 17:07 mark of the first period.
UWEC tacked on three goals in the second period for an insurmountable lead of 4-0 heading to the third. The Blugolds got two more goals in the final period to conclude the scoring.
Griege made 24 saves for the Pointers. UWEC goaltender Tegan Swanson made eight saves in the shutout win.
The Pointers return to Eau Claire on Saturday (Jan. 25) to close out the season series with the Blugolds with another 2:00 p.m. start.
