LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's golf team closed out the fall season with a sixth-place finish at the UW-Stout Invite on Monday.

Top UWSP Individual: Ethan Mehlberg (Junction City, Wis./Wisconsin Valley Lutheran) finished 20th with a +4 for the two-day tournament.
Notables: Connor Schaefer (Greenville, Wis./Hortonville) posted a two-day score of +5 to place 25th.
Josh Brogren (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn Area) had the best second round for UWSP, a -2, a 16-stroke improvement from Sunday's first round.
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: Aurora got past UW-Eau Claire by a one-stroke margin, overtaking the Blugolds after trailing by one strokes after the first round.
Top Individual: Carter Ruegsegger of Dubuque ran away with the title topping the field by six strokes.
Up next: The Pointers return to action in Spring 2025. The first tournament date and location will be released at a later date.
