WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season in a 9-0 defeat in league play at UW-Whitewater.
Quinlyn Mack (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) forced a super-breaker at No. 2 singles. She won the opening set, 6-3. In set two, she fell by a 6-2 score setting up the super-breaker. There, she came up short, 10-6.
Jordan Scharf (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) won three games in her No. 3 singles match. Brooklyn Steier and
Emma Rockweiler (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) won a game in each set of their No. 4 and No. 6 singles matches.

Abigail Ashley (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) fell at No. 3 doubles, 8-3. Mack and
Allie Brosteau (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port) dropped an 8-2 decision at No. 2 doubles.
The Pointers hit the road for another conference tilt on Oct. 4 at UW-Eau Claire. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
