WAVERLY, Iowa – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (3-4-2) began a four-match road trip with a 2-1 loss at Wartburg (3-4-1) on Sunday afternoon.
 
The host Knights got on the board in the sixth minute and held the 1-0 lead at the break. Wartburg doubled its lead in the 67th minute as UWSP faced a two-goal deficit.
 
Senior 
Jessica Camarato (DeForest, Wis./DeForest Area) scored her first goal of the season in the 71st minute. 
Mara Gustafson (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) got an assist as she served in a free kick to Camarato.
 
UWSP goalkeeper 
Erika Panella (Waukesha, Wis./Kettle Moraine) made seven saves to keep the Pointers close. WC goalkeeper Tulla Johnson had five saves in the win.
 
The Pointers continue the road trip at Carthage on Wednesday (Sept. 25). Kick off in Kenosha is slated for 5:00 p.m.
