STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (3-3-2) ended its six-match homestand with a 1-0 win over Beloit (1-5-1), the third clean sheet in the span.
 
Cass Klitzke (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) scored the lone goal of the match off a corner kick from Gabby Dunn (Dallas, Texas/Bishop Lynch) in the seventh minute of play.
 
UWSP's defense held Beloit in check all match allowing just three shot attempts. UWSP goalkeeper Erika Panella (Waukesha, Wis./Kettle Moraine) needed to make just a single save in the 83rd minute to record her second shutout in as many days.
 
The Pointers fired 12 shots on net with Dunn leading the way with four. Rita Danner (West Des Moines, Iowa/Waukee) added three shots on goal.
 
UWSP heads out on the road for the next four matches beginning at Wartburg on Sunday (Sept. 22). Kick off in Iowa is set for 2:00 p.m.
