STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point director of athletics Brad Duckworth has named Jordan Elliott as the head men's and women's golf coach.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jordan to the UWSP Athletics family," said Duckworth. "Jordan's experiences as a student-athlete, coach, and professional resonated with the committee, golfers, and administration. Central Wisconsin is a golf destination; we are blessed to have world-class facilities and three courses all within a few miles of our campus. Jordan recognized UWSP golf has great athletic recruiting advantages and first-class academics. I am confident we will continue to grow our programs under his leadership."
Elliott comes to UWSP after spending the 2023-24 season as a graduate assistant for his alma mater, the University of Dubuque. There, he helped the women's team win the American River Conference championship in its first year. He aided in recruiting, worked with student-athletes to improve and ran the team's social media channels.
"I am excited and honored to be the next head men's and women's golf coach at UW-Stevens Point," stated Elliott. "There are a lot of great things happening on campus and around the Stevens Point area. I am looking forward to getting started to elevate the golf programs to a higher level!"
Elliott played for UD from 2017 to 2021. He had multiple top-five individual finishes and earned all-conference honors in his freshman and senior seasons. At the 2018 ARC Tournament, Elliott posted one of the lowest scores in program history shooting a 68 (-4) during the final round of action.
He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Dubuque in 2021. He was a member of the student-athlete advisory committee and participated in the American Rivers Leadership Conference. He is pursuing a masters in sports management from UD.
