PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track & Field teams competed in the 5000-meter run and hammer throw for both units on day one of the Platteville Invitational.

Austin Rennhack (Columbus, Wis./Columbus) led all UWSP hammer throwers on the men's side with a top toss of 49.57 meters (162' 8"), placing 10
th.
Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) earned UWSP's top finish in the 5000-meter for the men with a time of 14:48.05 to place 60
th.
Amelia Retzlaff (New Lisbon, Wis./New Lisbon) led the Pointers women in the hammer throw with a best heave of 44.04 meters (144' 6") to place 12
th.
Maddie Oxborough (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) took a 108
th-place finish in a highly contested field with a time of 19:23.89 as the Pointers top women's runner in the 5000-meter.
The Pointers return to action Saturday (Apr. 13) to finish the remainder of the Platteville Invitational. First event is scheduled for a 11:00 a.m. start.
