VERNON HILLS, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point men's golf team tied for sixth in the 17-team field at the Forester Spring Invite, the first action of the spring for the Pointers.

Top UWSP Individual:  Ethan Mehlberg (Junction City, Wis./Wisconsin Valley Lutheran) tied for 11th with a 76, four strokes behind the event winners.
Notables: Josh Brogren (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn Area) and Connor Schaefer (Greenville, Wis./Hortonville) shot a 79 and an 80, respectively to finish in the top-30.

Tournament Highlights
Top Team: Aurora won the one-day event with a score of 299, four strokes better than St. Norbert.
Top Individual: Carthage's Tanner Angelstad, Aurora's Brydon North and St. Norbert's Christian Wagner all shot an even-par 72 to tie for top billing.
Up next: The Pointers travel to the Bobby Krig Invite in St. Peter, Minn. on April 20 and 21.
