MADISON, Wis. – Following the inaugural season, three members of the UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team were selected to the All-WIAC teams, the league office announced on Friday (Nov. 8).
Connor Urban (Waukesha, Wis./West) and
Devin Wilkerson (La Crosse, Wis./Central) were first-team selections while
Riley Nycz (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) picked up honorable mention team accolades.
Charlie McGinnis (Verona, Wis./Verona Area) was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Urban played in 19 matches and started 18 times during the season. He scored two goals, including the Pointers' first-ever postseason goal on Wednesday at UW-Whitewater in the WIAC Tournament. He also had an assist in the inaugural match against St. Norbert on August 30. Urban played all 90 minutes 11 times during the season.
Wilkerson played in 17 matches with 15 starts on the season. He led the Pointers in goals with eight and points with 20. In the inaugural match against St. Norbert on August 30, Wilkerson scored both goals on the night, his first of three braces on the season. He scored the first two game-winning goals in program history in wins over Lakeland (Sept. 7) and Concordia (Wis.) (Sept. 8). Wilkerson scored a brace at Lawrence and another against Beloit, tying a WIAC single-match record with three assists against the Buccaneers. He was named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week in September.
Nycz started and played in all 20 matches for the Pointers this season. He had one goal on the year coming in a win over Northland. He added four assists, three of which were on goals in home matches. He played all 90 minutes 13 times during the season.
McGinnis started all 16 matches he played in this season. He scored one goal on the year coming in a draw at Marian. He played all but six minutes in the 16 matches he started. Playing primarily as a center back, McGinnis helped the Pointers post five shutouts on the year.
The Pointers went 8-8-4 in the inaugural season that ended in the WIAC Tournament on Wednesday.
