LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (6-7-5, 3-3-1) wrapped up the regular season with a 1-0 defeat at UW-La Crosse (14-3-2, 6-0-1).
 
The teams combined for just seven shots on goal in the match. 
Cass Klitzke (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) had two of UWSP's four shots on goal. 
Jessica Camarato (DeForest, Wis./DeForest Area) and 
Rita Danner (West Des Moines, Iowa/Waukee) each had one.
 
UWL had just three shots on goal finding the back of the net for the lone goal in the 52nd minute.
 
Kaitlin Jones nearly knotted the match in the 89th minute and she rang a shot off the crossbar.
 
UWSP goalkeeper 
Erika Panella (Waukesha, Wis./Kettle Moraine) had two saves. UWL keeper Erelyn Apel had three saves, all in the first half.
 
The Pointers are the No. 4 seed in the WIAC Tournament and will host UW-River Falls on Tuesday (Nov. 5) beginning at 7:30 p.m.
