STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team (19-9) swept visiting Chicago (20-9) by a 3-0 final (25-18, 25-15, 25-17) in the regular season home finale.
Senior
Grace Michalske (Wausau, Wis./West) led all players with 29 assists. She just missed a double-double with nine digs.
Fellow senior
Ashley Kopp (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) was the only player in double figures with 15 kills.

Zoe Kramer (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) each had a kill early as UWSP had a small deficit at 7-5.
Carly Thomka (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) had two kills and a pair of aces in a 5-0 run as the Pointers took a 12-9 advantage. Kopp had two kills, an ace and an assist in 7-2 burst as UWSP pulled away. Kopp had kills on the final three UWSP points to close out the set.
UWSP had three early blocks and got a pair of kills from Kopp and Kramer for an 11-2 lead early in the second. Kopp sparked a 7-1 run to end the set with a kill and
Lauren Shaw (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) finished it with back-to-back kills.
Shaw had three kills to begin the third as UWSP led, 11-6. Shaw had another kill in a 6-2 burst as the advantage went up to 17-10. Senior
Sydney Mosinski (Nevada, Iowa/Nevada) had two kills late as the Pointers completed the sweep.
The Pointers travel to UW-Platteville on Saturday (Nov. 9) at 7:00 p.m. to close out regular-season play.
