MEQUON, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (3-2-0) rallied from a two-goal deficit for a 3-2 win at Concordia (Wis.) (3-2-0) on Tuesday.
The Falcons got on the board first and took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.
Courtney Leising (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) got UWSP on the board just 34 seconds into the second period.
Tara Rigan (Lindenhurst, Ill./Lakes Community) got an assist on the goal.
Just 53 seconds into the third period,
Soile Doyle (Hayward, Wis./Hayward) tallied a power-play goal to tie the game at 2-2.
Katie Stanius (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake) got her first assist of the night on the play.
At 11:21 of the third period, Rigan scored her first career goal, the eventual game-winner. Doyle and Stanius had assists as all three picked up their second point of the night on the play.

Emily Griege (Chesterfield, Mo./Westminster Christian Academy) made 25 of her 40 saves after the 2-0 deficit to hold the Falcons at bay for the Pointers to rally. CUW goaltender Gretchen Paaverud had 33 saves.
The Pointers open conference play at UW-River Falls on Friday (Nov. 15) at 7:00 p.m.
