STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (4-4-5, 1-0-1) stayed in a tie atop the league standings with a point in a 0-0 tie with UW-Eau Claire (4-6-3, 0-0-2) on Wednesday night.

Freshman goalkeeper
Erika Panella (Waukesha, Wis./Kettle Moraine) had five saves in the shutout. Two were high quality with a tip over the net and a diving stop, both late in the second half.

Fellow freshman
Christa Borchardt (New Berlin, Wis./West) had a partial breakaway in the 88th minute that likely would have decided the match, but her sliding shot attempt went wide of the right post.

Senior
Gabby Dunn (Dallas, Texas/Bishop Lynch) led the Pointers with two shots on goal.
Cass Klitzke (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) and
Paige Ostroushko (Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's) each had one shot on goal.

UWEC split halves in net. Kennedy Boll had one save in the first half with Bella Jones making three in the second half.

The Pointers travel to UW-River Falls for a league matchup on Saturday (Oct. 12) at 1:00 p.m.
