PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (6-6-5, 3-2-1) went toe-to-toe with UW-Platteville (12-2-4, 3-0-3) in a league match that saw the host Pioneers prevail, 1-0.
 
The Pioneers broke the scoreless draw in the 62nd minute, the eventual match-winner and lone tally of the match.
 
In the 69th minute, UWP was called for a hand ball in the box. Senior 
Gabby Dunn (Dallas, Texas/Bishop Lynch) stepped to the spot, but her kick sailed over the cross bar.
 
Dunn led the Pointers with nine shots, three on goal. 
Cass Klitzke (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) and 
Jessica Camarato (DeForest, Wis./DeForest Area) each had ne shot on goal.
 
UWSP goalkeeper 
Erika Panella (Waukesha, Wis./Kettle Moraine) and UWP goalkeeper Madison Way each had five saves.
 
The Pointers close out the regular season on Saturday (Nov. 2) at WIAC regular season champion UW-La Crosse at 1:00 p.m.
