STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team (8-5-3, 1-2-0) dropped a 2-1 decision to visiting UW-Whitewater (8-5-3, 1-1-0) on Saturday in UWSP's regular season home finale.
Arun Krishna (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) gave UWSP a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute. His third of the season was assisted on by
Marcelo Chavez (Verona, Wis./Verona Area).
The lead lasted until the 39th minute. UWW ripped a shot from just outside the box to send the match to break, tied at 1-1.
The Warhawks broke the tie in the 79th minute with the eventual game-winner.
UWSP goalkeeper
Jacob Havlik (Onalaska, WIs./Onalaska) made three saves. UWW goalkeeper Matthew Vollmer made one save in the win.
The Pointers head out on the road to face UW-Eau Claire on Saturday (Oct. 26) at 7:00 p.m.
