STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (5-5-5, 2-1-1) picked up three key points in the league standings with a 2-1 win over UW-Whitewater (5-7-4, 1-2-1).
 
Senior 
Gabby Dunn (Dallas, Texas/Bishop Lynch) had two assists on Senior Day. Fellow seniors 
Jessica Camarato (DeForest, Wis./DeForest Area) and 
Mara Gustafson (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) got an assist and a goal, respectively.
 
Cass Klitzke (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) got the Pointers on the board first. Her eighth-minute goal came off assists from Dunn and Camarato.
 
In the 24th minute, Gustafson buried the eventual game-winner off a corner kick from Dunn. UWSP nearly made it 3-0 in the 29th minute as a shot by Camarato rang off the post.
 
The Warhawks got a goal in the 40th minute off a free kick. Neither team scored in the second half as UWSP held on for the win.
 
UWSP goalkeeper 
Erika Panella (Waukesha, Wis./Kettle Moraine) made one save in the win. UWW goalkeeper Greta Harms had seven saves.
 
The Pointers close out the home slate on Wednesday (Oct. 23) with a 7:30 p.m. match against UW-Oshkosh.
