STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team fell to visiting UW-Oshkosh in league play on Friday, 7-2, in the final home match of the fall season.
Freshman
Allie Brosteau (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port) was victorious at No. 6 singles rolling to a 6-0, 6-1.
Brooklynn Steier (West De Pere, Wis./West De Pere) won her No. 5 singles match by a 6-2, 6-2 final.
Maya Kunze (Stevens Point, Wis./Pacelli) battled to a 7-5, 7-6 (5) loss at No. 3 singles.
Jordan Scharf (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) came up short at NO. 4 singles, 7-5, 6-3.
Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) won five games at No 1 singles.
Quinlyn Mack (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) won a gem in each set at No. 2 singles.
In doubles play, Kunze and Steier fell at No. 3, 8-5. Brosteau and Mack dropped an 8-4 final at No. 2 and Jantz and Scharf lost, 8-3.
The Pointers travel to La Crosse on Saturday (Oct. 12) to face UW-La Crosse at 10:00 a.m. and UW-Superior at 1:00 p.m.
