WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's track and field team finished fourth at the Women's Whitewater Invite on Saturday. The Pointers scored 61 points, slotting behind third-place host UW-Whitewater with a score of 91.5.
Results
The women were led by junior
Anetha Vogele (Necedah, Wis./Necedah), who earned a first-place victory in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.49.
The relay unit of
Malina Carattini (Mosinee, Wis/Mosinee),
Ashley Bartelt (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union),
Ashley Spatz (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) and Vogele tacked on UWSP's second win of the day, taking first in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:04.46.
Paige Allemann (Waumandee, Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) tacked on a third-place finish in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:58.63.
Guadalupe Corn (Keshena, Wis./Menominee Indian) managed a fourth-place finish in the shot put with a heave of 12.91 meters (42' 4.25").
In the multis,
Gavin Ridge (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) took fourth with a score of 3758 for the men and
Rachel Perry (Mantorville, Minn./RAACHE) remained in eighth with a score of 2605 for the women.
The Pointers will journey home to host the annual Big Dawg Invite on Saturday (Feb. 3). Events start at 10:30 a.m.
