STEVENS POINT, Wis. – For the second-straight game, the UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (5-13-0, 1-6-0) was shut out by No. 11 UW-Eau Claire (15-4-0, 6-1-0) with Saturday's final of 5-0.

Emily Griege (Chesterfield, Mo./Westminster Christian Academy) again kept UWSP within striking distance making 18 saves to hold the deficit at 1-0 after one.
UWEC scored twice in the second period and two more in the third period to complete the scoring.
The Pointers did increase their shot total from Friday, firing 23 at UWEC goaltender Alexa Backmann to no avail.
Sara Aadalen (Wayzata, Minn./Wayzata) led the Pointers with four shots.
The Pointers will travel to Concordia (Wis.) on Monday (Jan. 22) for a make-up of the Jan. 9 postponement. Puck drop in Mequon is slated for 3:00 p.m.
