STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams competed at the WIAC Tri with both units taking third. The men scored 56 points and the women tallied 47.5.
 
Results
 
For the UWSP men, Tre Sanda (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Parker) took first in the long jump with a distance of 6.61 meters (21' 8.25").
 
Braedon Gilles (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) tacked on another first-place finish in the mile run with a time of 4:17.75.
 
The relay team of Adam Zinn (Woodstock, Ill./North), Mason Mead (Wausau, Wis./West), Blake Lobner (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Assumption) and Logan Lutz (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) tallied a time of 3:32.56 in the 4x400-meter relay to place second.
 
Quinn Greer (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn) registered a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.13.
 
Cade Ravenscroft (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) took second in the high jump with a height of 1.95 meters (6' 4.75").
 
For the UWSP women, Anetha Vogele (Necedah, Wis./Necedah) took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.07.
 
Jaimie Deschand (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) posted a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.11.
 
In a congested field, Paige Allemann (Waumandee, Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) took second in the mile run with a time of 5:16.81.
 
Lindsey Taylor (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) tacked on a second-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 4.86 meters (15' 11.50").
 
Guadalupe Corn (Keshena, Wis./Menominee Indian) had a strong day with a third-place finish in the shot put with a heave of 13.06 meters (42' 10.25"). Corn also added a fourth-place finish in the weight throw with a throw of 15.01 meters (49' 3").
 
The relay unit of Ashley Bartelt (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union), Malina Caratini, Grace Goodness (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski) and Emma Schmidt (Oshkosh, Wis./West) logged a time of 3:32.56 to place second in the 4x400-meter relay.
 
The Pointers travel to Whitewater for three meets hosted by the Warhawks, starting on Friday (Jan. 26) at 1:00 p.m.
