PRESCOTT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team is in sixth place after the first day of action at the UWRF Falcon Invite. UWSP scored 375 on the day and are within two strokes of fourth.

Top UWSP Individual: Kate Downie (Hortonville, WIs./Hortonville) led the Pointers' golfers, wrapping up day one tied for 14th with an 87 (+15).
 
Notables: Bree Downie (Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville) and Jenny Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) sit tied for 28th place each posting a round one score of 95 (+23). Andrea Tietz (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) followed up sitting in 30th place with a score of 96 (+24). Rae Barwick wrapped up round one in 31st place with a score of 97 (+25). Rounding out the Pointers golfers, tied for 35th place, Megan Bonikowske (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) finished round one shooting a 99 (+27).
 
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: A familiar opponent in UW-Stout is leading the invite with four golfers in the top 10 with a total round one score of 324. UW-La Crosse sits only three strokes behind at 327.
Top Individual: Sydney Grimm of UW-Stout currently leads the invite boasting a 78 (+6) in round one.
