ALTOONA, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's golf team finished the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational with an improvement to 13^th place. The Pointers recorded a day two score of 324 having shaved three strokes off of their day one performance.

UWSP: 13^th out of 18
Top UWSP Individual: Ethan Mehlberg (Junction City, Wis./Wisconsin Valley Lutheran) squeaked past three of his teammates to finish 46^th with a round of 76 (+5) on the day as UWSP's top finisher. Mehlberg cut down eight strokes from his day one total of an 84 (+13) to make a jump from 71^st place.
Notables: Josh Brogren (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn Area) wrapped up the weekend posting an 82 (+11) on Monday, as he finished just outside of the top 50, tied for 52^nd. Connor Schaefer (Greenville, Wis./Hortonville) only added one stroke to his round one total as he shot an 82 (+11) and finished tied for 57^th. Ethan Roehm (Ironwood, Mich./Luther L. Wright) posted an 84 (+13) and placed tied for 69^th while Joe Warpechowski (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) capped off the day shooting an 85 (+14) and placing tied for 78^th.

Tournament Highlights
Top Team: UW-Eau Claire managed to pull out a win over Bethel after day two came to a close. UWEC had three golfers finish within the top 15 with their highest finisher holding a tie with two fellow golfers for third place.
Top Individual: Daniel Aas of the University of Wisconsin took the title at the Blugold Invite. Aas shaved two strokes off of his round one total, shooting a 69 (-2) on the day, to move in front of five golfers. Aas was the only golfer in the top five to improve his score in round two.
