STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's tennis team dominated a shorthanded Edgewood squad to a 9-0 victory in the home finale on Saturday.
Steven Benoy (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.
Hayden Schreier (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) took No. 2 singles by a 6-0, 6-2 final.
Connor Paullin (East Troy, Wis./East Troy) and
Erik Berg (Mount Horeb, Wis./Mount Horeb) both earned 6-1, 6-1 wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively.
Noah Higgins (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union) won at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-4.
In doubles play,
Diego Mosquera Herrero (Madrid, Spain) and
Dan Harris (Eau Claire, Wis./Altoona) were victorious at No. 1, 8-6.
Spencer Gross (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union) and
Austin Kahl (Janesville, Wis./Craig) won at no. 2 doubles by an 8-4 final.
Benoy and Mosquera Herrero each won 10 singles matches on the season. The duo combined for a team-best 12 doubles wins.
