WAUKESHA, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team found itself trailing after doubles play, but winning five-of-six singles matches gave the Pointers a 6-3 win over Carroll.
In doubles action,
Chloe Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) and
Quinlyn Mack (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) teamed up at No. 2 for an 8-4 win.
Leithold pulled the Pointers even with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 6 in singles action.
Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) gave the Pointers a 3-2 lead with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
Faith Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles. Mack sealed the win at No. 1 singles with a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
Barbara Covek (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) completed the win with a 6-3, 7-6 (5) victory at No. 4 singles.
The Pointers will travel to Madison on Friday (April 7) to begin play at the Midwest Invite.
